Welcome to Westside Jiu Jitsu Academy
Westside Jiu Jitsu Academy is a Caio Terra Association affiliate school located in Westland, MI founded in 2021 and Allen Park, MI founded in 2026. Westside JJA is the first and only CTA school in Michigan. The staff includes several coaches with vast knowledge led by head coach Ken Short. Coach Ken is a first-degree black belt under professor Caio Terra, with 15 years of experience and 10 years of which as an instructor. Westside Jiu Jitsu Academy offers classes 7 days per week, several times a day to accommodate every schedule with multiple programs to choose from.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Lessons for all
Adult BJJ Lessons
Class options 7 days per week.
Fundamentals classes morning, noon, and night Monday-Saturday, open training on Saturday and Sunday as well. This program also includes judo, wrestling, and kickboxing classes.
Youth BJJ lessons
Ages 3-5: 3 days per week littles jiu jitsu program (Westland location)
Ages 5-11: 3 days per week at each location with advancement offering classes up to 6 days per week.
Ages 12-17: teen jiu jitsu program with class options available 7 days per week.
Women's Only BJJ Program
Classes 5 days per week between both locations, for women only taught by a female instructor focused on jiu jitsu for self-defense.
Private BJJ Lessons
